Common questions
- Do I need an account or have to pay to roll?
- No. The roller is free, needs no sign-up and no download, and every feature works on the first tap. There is nothing to unlock.
- Are the dice fair, and can my players trust them?
- Yes. Every roll comes from the browser's cryptographic generator, the same one used for encryption keys, and carries a proof you can replay on the verify page. For a table that wants proof a roll was not fixed, turn on the beacon witness in settings: the roll waits for the next round of the public drand beacon, so nobody, the DM included, could have known it in advance.
- Does it roll with advantage, modifiers and damage?
- Yes. The d20 leads, advantage and disadvantage are a tap away, you can add a flat modifier, and every polyhedral from d4 to d100 is here for damage. Keyboard shortcuts roll and switch dice.
- Is it NIST-certified or beacon-backed?
- Any roll can be witnessed against drand, a public randomness beacon run by a consortium including Cloudflare and EPFL. It is decentralised, so no single party can predict or bias a round, and by default a roll is generated on your own device and never sent anywhere. Rather than a certification seal, we give you a verify page to check any roll yourself.
