Random Dice Roll

Privacy policy

The short version: your dice rolls never leave your device, the daily tally is anonymous, and the only time we ask for an email is when you choose to save a streak. The detail follows.

Who we are

Random Dice Roll (randomdiceroll.com) is a free dice roller and collection of dice games. For any question about this policy or your data, contact privacy@randomdiceroll.com.

Rolls stay on your device

Every roll is generated in your browser with its cryptographic random number generator. The result is never sent to us. You can confirm this on the verification page.

What we store on your device

We use your browser’s local storage, not tracking cookies, to remember things that are only useful to you: your table and dice settings, saved rolls in the Forge, your daily challenge streaks and results, and a random token that stops the anonymous tally from counting the same device twice. This data lives in your browser, is readable only by this site, and never reaches us. Clearing your site data removes it.

The daily challenge tally

When you finish a daily challenge, your score alone is sent to the day’s global tally, with a random token and no name or address attached, so we can tell you what share of players you beat. The tally is deleted a few days after each date. It is anonymous by design and cannot be traced back to you.

Email, only when you ask

If you choose to save a streak, you give us an email address so your streak can follow you between devices. We send a one-time sign-in link to confirm the address, and we store that address together with a copy of your daily history (game, date and score, nothing about your rolls).

Separately, and only if you tick the optional box, we will send a daily reminder to come back and keep your streak alive. That is the one marketing email we send, it is never bundled into saving your streak, and every reminder carries a one-click unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time and it is as easy as giving it. Email is sent through Resend, our email provider.

Analytics and ads

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and features are used, in aggregate. We record actions such as a roll happening or a game finishing; we never send the outcome of a roll or the content of a game.

On the game pages we show ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve and measure those ads. You can review and control Google’s use of your data at My Ad Center and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Who processes data for us

We keep the number of third parties small: Cloudflare hosts the site, Resend delivers email, and Google provides analytics and ads. We do not sell your data, and we do not build advertising profiles of you ourselves.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can unsubscribe from reminders with the link in any reminder email, and you can clear everything stored on your device through your browser settings.

If you are in the UK, the EU or another region with data protection laws, you also have the right to access, correct or delete the data we hold, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To delete the email and history tied to a saved streak, write to privacy@randomdiceroll.com and we will remove it.

Children

Random Dice Roll is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use personal data will be explained here before they take effect.
