What is a D100?
A D100 is a hundred-sided die. It has 100 faces numbered 1 to 100, and on a fair die each one is equally likely, so any single face comes up 1% of the time. You will usually see it used for percentile rolls, random tables and critical hit tables.

D100 odds
Every face on a D100 has the same 1% chance. Rolling the die more than once does not change that. Each roll is independent, so a run of low numbers tells you nothing about what comes next.
Across many rolls the average settles near 50.5, which is the number to use when you are comparing this die against another.
