What is a D12?
A D12 is a twelve-sided die. It has 12 faces numbered 1 to 12, and on a fair die each one is equally likely, so any single face comes up 8.33% of the time. You will usually see it used for greataxe damage, barbarian hit dice and months of the year.

D12 odds
Every face on a D12 has the same 8.33% chance. Rolling the die more than once does not change that. Each roll is independent, so a run of low numbers tells you nothing about what comes next.
Across many rolls the average settles near 6.5, which is the number to use when you are comparing this die against another.
