How to play Cee-lo
- On your turn, throw all three dice. The throw decides everything; there is nothing else to choose.
- 4-5-6 is an automatic win, the best throw in the game. 1-2-3 is an automatic loss, the worst.
- Three of a kind is a triple, and beats any point; a higher triple beats a lower one.
- A pair leaves the odd die as your point, from 1 to 6. A higher point beats a lower one.
- Any other throw means nothing and is simply thrown again until it does.
- Each player throws, the highest hand wins the round, and a tie at the top is a push and thrown again. First to three round wins takes the match.

Can you play Cee-lo with 2 dice?
Not really. Cee-lo is a three-dice game, and its whole ranking depends on three dice: 4-5-6, three of a kind, or a pair that leaves a point. With only two dice there is no 4-5-6 and no triple, so the game loses what makes it Cee-lo. If you have just two dice and want a fast street game, reach for a bluffing game like Mia or Mexico instead.
The odds of each throw
Exact figures, enumerated over all 216 ways three dice can land rather than estimated, in keeping with how every number on this site is produced. Half of all throws mean nothing and are simply thrown again.

Fair, and no money
Cee-lo is traditionally played for stakes on a sidewalk. This is the game without the betting: the same throws and the same ranking, played for the round and nothing else. The dice come from the same cryptographic generator as the rest of the site, so a 4-5-6 is exactly as likely for you as for the computer, and you can prove it on the verification page.
