Picking without repeats

Rolling a die twice can give the same number twice, which is fine for a game and unhelpful for picking three different pupils. Turn on no repeats and each number is drawn once, like names out of a hat rather than rolls of a die.

Common ranges

For teaching probability rather than picking numbers, the dice sum page shows why adding two dice makes the middle results far more common, which is usually the first surprising thing about dice worth demonstrating.
